Computer Go BANG!
Not Happy!
Not happy at all! The power supply in my main desktop shat itself on Friday. Unfortunately it appears that it decided to take some other components with it. I’m not yet sure exactly what else is damaged, but the first 2 posibilities are my hard drive and my motherboard. Either the hard drive is toast, or something on the motherboard just isn’t what it used to be as it no longer recognises my 200Gb SATA drive.
I’m taking the drive to work tomorrow to see if one of the SATA capable machines there is able to access it. If not, I’ve lost the contents of the drive - thankfully the really important stuff is on one of the servers. If it can, obviuosly something else is wrong with my computer.

Well at this stage it looks like the hard drive has been toasted. We’ve tried it in a machine at work and a mate took it home to try in his home machine. Neither of them would recognise it.
