Short but sweet.
Well, we were worried that it might happen, but I had hoped that it would take longer than this. One of the new developers that we hired at work has quit. He only started 2 weeks ago, but apparently got a better offer from another application that he had in when he applied with us.
Oh, well. It was good while it lasted.

The problem we had with this was that, the other offer that he took we could never compete with. The job was offering more money (which we matched and exceeded), however this is where we couldn’t complete. The other job was in Brisbane, so he didn’t have to travel to the Gold Coast each day and was just up the road from his home — something that would have taken far more money to counter than we could have ever offered.
You are right though, it was nice while it lasted.
