I’ve finally given into my desire to play HL2 and CS:Source and have just created a steam account and purchased them. I chose the Silver pack for USD$60 so that I also get Day Of Defeat when it gets released on September 26th.

As I type this my computer is busily downloading HL2 at close to 1Mb/sec. I find it amusing that Internode have an advertising banner on the bottom of the Steam Monitor that tells me how fast the download is going.

Hopefully it will be done in time for the games that I am supposed to be joining in tonight :)
